Yoga for Strength and Stillness
High Energy
Time is limited. Energy is not.
Sharp Mind
A focused mind can face every challenge.
Strong Body
A strong foundation is essential.
How does it work?
It is simple - you can enjoy the scenery during a drive only if the car is running smoothly, otherwise you are going to be worried about the car. Our body is the most tangible manifestation of our being. It is solid. The body is the vehicle of the consciousness that experiences Life. Therefore, it is vital that the vehicle is in prime condition; then the consciousness can expand beyond the body.
Yoga for Strength and Stillness is an all-inclusive Hatha Yoga module designed to access the body-mind-energy matrix through movement and mindfulness. Each one hour session is a group class that will focus on Asanas, in harmony with breath and awareness, to bring health and healing to the outer as well as the inner layers of our being. The class has been structured so that no part of the body is left unattended. Each day of the week focuses on realigning and building strength of a particular section of the body.

Monday: Neck and Shoulders
Neck and Shoulders can carry a lot of weight and stress, both physical and mental. The session includes deep stretches, and varied mindful dynamic poses that strengthen this area, along with improving the blood and lymph flow helps to regain clarity, something that we are sorely missing today.
-
Tuesday: Spine
The spine is the axis of the body-mind matrix. It's health affects the health of the entire system. While almost every yoga pose works on the spine at some level, a properly designed yoga session targeting the spine can bring back vitality and strength of the spine.
-
Wednesday: Core
The organs in the abdomen have the capacity to hold a lot of emotions. And, the brain-gut connection means that the functioning of the brain is closely interlinked with the health of the gut. Working on building core strength and abdominal health helps to improve how we process nutrition, and at the same time, develops mental and emotional resilience.
-
Thursday: Healthy Hips
One of the largest muscle groups in the body is in the pelvic area. Weak tissues in this area make it difficult to hold the spine straight up, affect the gait, breathing capacity, and the gut. Also, the hip joint can also hold a lot of unresolved emotions that add to stress in the body-mind matrix. Strong and healthy hips with freedom of movement are essential for balance and strength of the whole system.
-
Friday: Stillness
The purpose of all movement is to achieve rest. And this is why the last day of the week in out sessions is dedicated to meditation. Coming back to stillness, coming back to silence
this is what we all inherently desire.
Bones, muscles, fascia and the nerves love movement and deep rest. Asanas, in harmony with breath and awareness, improve structure and alignment of these elements, bringing about a sense of relaxation in the system. Asanas, followed by rest, improve proprioception, and interoception which are key factors in regulating physical, mental and emotional states.
Yoga for Strength and Stillness is designed to bring back and maintain health to your entire system.
